Phone call at quarter to midnight
Mum called me to read me a passage from the book she is reading right now.
“I thought I would have a lot to tell my parents after having been away from home for so long. After 12 minutes of conversation, I remembered how irritating they were and why I had moved so far away to begin with”.
She told me it reminded her of me. I laughed because it was true.
